South Africa-based Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh has heaped praises on producers and actor in the Kumawood movie industry for their hard work towards making the industry worthwhile.
In an interview with Accra-based Starr FM, the actor said “Kumawood is a very creative world of Filmmakers who have made the possible out of the impossible. Considering where Kumawood started and where it is today, I love it…It has a very strong following. Even though I believe totally in unity, we’ve managed to make a difference between the English speaking film part of Ghana and the local.”
When asked if it’s healthy for business, he said, “I don’t see why not… we will always be Ghanaians and even though English is our first speaking language, I think it caters for a certain part of the market that desperately needs this kind of entertainment and so I wouldn’t discourage it… I think we should keep going.”
Asked if he would love to feature in Kumawood movies, Chris Attoh said, “Why not if it’s a good story, I’ll welcome it any day and will be waiting for such opportunity.”
